I am now offering an 8mm/super8 movie digitising service! This promotional video, featuring footage of me as a child, highlights what I can do with your home movies, preserving and enhancing them. Raw capture of footage costs 50c per foot, and enhanced footage costs $1.50 per foot (plus GST). A small reel of 50 feet would thus cost $25 for raw capture and $75 for enhancement. I spend the stream focusing on assembling the tiny photo etch parts for items to go on the deck of the ship, and talk about my tools and techniques for doing so. Huge Cubic Zirconium cut by my dad

My dad is a hobbyist gem cutter and he cut this beautiful cubic zirconium for me as a gift. It's absolutely stunning in person! It's about 3.5cm across.
Bismuth Macro

I think bismuth is the most beautiful element, especially when it's in crystalline form. The oxidation on the surface shows every colour in the rainbow. This sample was gifted to me after I gave a talk to my dad's gem club, and I had to get a macro video to show it off. #macro #geology #minerals #bismuth #rainbow #nature #gemstone #colourful

I absolutely loved this video. Thank-you for your play-by-play as the display went off. It was so helpful. I learned more watching this than the other videos I’ve seen.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm glad you found the video useful, and I hope it helped you to get some wonderful photos!
@neilcreek Pls create a playlist about "fireworks photography".
The zodiac light looks amazing shining from under the right of the Orion Constellation. Clear skies
Turn playback speed all the way down and wear headphones.

I have no idea what he’s talking about and probably don’t care but I still love this so much it is such a vibe he seems genuinely cool and chill and the whole atmosphere is just so cool
Thank you so much for saying so! :D If you want more of the same, you could join me on my Twitch channel :)

Fantastic demonstration! Did you use back button focus and then Locked?
Very helpful. Thank you
this is so shit i killed myt wife
saw your photos on google earth man your a really good photographer
Wow thank you very much! That's wonderful to hear :)
One of the worst drawbacks of this camera is the red halo and strange reddish artifacts around bright stars. Also it is mind boggling that it does not have an intervalometer. The only plus is the 30+ magnification which helps greatly when manually focusing.
There's that garbage music with no guitar and drums.
And there's that garbage opinion with no credibility and no point. :)
@@neilcreek Let me interview you in voice chat and see which one of us knows more about music. Here come excuses. UA-camrs are all the same.

The Geddan of Haruhi Suzumiya.
Nice review! Regarding the switching between screen and vf, we can customize buttons to manually switch between the screen and the viewfinder.
Gift from the past
Thank you for sharing. I had the opportunity to view a rocket launch in 2018. Amazing experience. I shared a pretty cool montage of the trip to my channel.
Do you see the issue with the red halos around stars? They become more off centre the closer to the edges.
Bloated stars, halos? 5X and 30X magnification with no 15X to focus stars? Canon can do better for the price. Some software and design issues.
hello people from the future
hey!
@@athellmeuz2049 Welcome to the geddan rabbit hole
Am I the only person that is watching this in 2021-
This video should be treated as Holy Bible for the firework photography. You showed the every steps in easiest way possible by any professional. Love it. I will try tomorrow. To other viewers, if you watch this video, do not bother to watch other videos on firework. This is the best tutorial on UA-cam so far. Love it every second of it. So helpful. Happy New Year 2021 in advance. Thanks
Thank you so much for such a wonderful comment! I wish you the best of luck with your shoot!
A little clickbait. I thought you had a telescope in the observatory :D. A slightly more serious question though, down your OTA tube, did you line it with some kinda light baffle? Is that a DIY?
Thanks for the tour. I think it would be very interesting to see a demonstration of how you do the polar alignment if possible?
Thank you for uploading. I had the opportunity to see a rocket launch in 2018. Memorable experience. I posted a pretty fun video of the journey to my page.
